Blackstorm has officially announced that Rememento: White Shadow suspends services temporarily as part of a large-scale overhaul aimed at delivering a more complete and refined JRPG experience. The 3D turn-based title, which launched globally this May, will undergo a complete rebuild, focusing on gameplay balance, growth systems, gacha mechanics, and user experience.
A Temporary Pause Before a Major Rebirth

The developer confirmed that White Shadow suspends services temporarily for the global version on November 27, 2025, and for the Japanese version on January 31, 2026. This decision, though disappointing for players, marks a commitment to quality over quick fixes. Blackstorm’s CEO, Doyun Kim, stated that simply adding content was not enough — deeper issues needed to be resolved at the system level. As White Shadow suspends services temporarily, the goal is to rebuild its foundation for a smoother and more enjoyable RPG experience once it relaunches.
Fans can still play until the suspension date, but in-app purchases are disabled. The developers have also stopped Nemonics updates, though limited recall banners like Chesha and Cael remain available. As White Shadow suspends services temporarily, the studio emphasized that this is not a permanent closure, but a necessary break to refine every part of the game’s structure.
Refunds and Future Plans
Blackstorm has assured players that refunds will be available during this transition period. As White Shadow suspends services temporarily, users can claim refunds for unused Glowing Memory paid currency purchased between December 18, 2024, and November 27, 2025. Refund applications open tomorrow and will be processed within six months.
The relaunch will include improvements to the growth system, gacha balance, UX flow, and overall content cycle — essentially redefining how the game operates. As White Shadow suspends services temporarily, players are encouraged to view this pause as a chance for the team to deliver a better, more polished version of the beloved turn-based RPG.
With White Shadow suspends services temporarily, Blackstorm’s message is clear: quality and player satisfaction come first. The community eagerly awaits the day the revamped version returns, promising a deeper, more rewarding journey than ever before.
