The star attraction of the update is undoubtedly the introduction of four new Hero cards—Hero Mini P.E.K.K.A, Hero Musketeer, Hero Knight, and Hero Giant. Their arrival marks a new era, especially since Clash Royale Season 78 has paused new Evolutions for the first time since the feature launched. These Heroes bring unique mechanics, deeper deck-building diversity, and new progression goals for advanced players. As expected, their introduction is accompanied by Hero Boxes, Wild Shards, and new ways to upgrade units across Arenas.
Pass Royale Overhauled for All Arenas
The December update drastically changes how rewards function. Pass Royale now exists in two versions depending on your Arena level—one tailored for players below Arena 15 and one designed for those at Arena 15 and above. Players below Arena 15 receive progression-friendly rewards such as 5-Star Lucky Chests and additional Wild Shards. Meanwhile, Arena 15+ players gain access to monthly Hero unlocks, upgraded Magic Lucky Chests, and Hero Boxes.
The Diamond Pass brings premium perks, including the Musketeer Street Tower Skin, a new anime-style Musketeer emote, Golden Name, Premium Clan Gifts, and challenge rejoin benefits. On the other hand, the Free Pass focuses more on boosts and resources like Gold Crates, Lucky Chests, and Boost Potions.
