The Clash of Clans October 2025 Update is one of the biggest updates ever added to the game, bringing new battle modes, reworked shields, and an improved league system. Supercell has focused on making multiplayer battles more balanced and fun for both casual and competitive players. Here’s a full breakdown of everything new in the Clash of Clans October 2025 Update.
New Battle Modes and League System

The Clash of Clans October 2025 Update introduces two new multiplayer modes — Battle and Ranked Battle. The Battle mode is the new farming mode where you can freely attack and skip bases to collect loot without worrying about losing trophies. Ranked Battles, however, focus purely on trophies. You’ll join weekly tournaments where trophies are earned based on your performance — 40 for a three-star win and fewer for lower results.
Players will now sign up for weekly tournaments where 100 players from the same League tier compete. You can attack at any time throughout the week, with your total trophies deciding your rank at the end. There’s no attack limit, giving players full freedom.
A completely new League system has also been added. There are now 34 leagues, with 33 divisions below the top-tier Legend League. Each Town Hall level has a League Floor — a minimum rank you can’t drop below once you reach it. For example, a Town Hall 17 player can’t fall below the “Electro Titan” League. This system ensures fair matchmaking and consistent progression for all players.
The Clash of Clans October 2025 Update also introduces League decay for inactive players. If you skip a week, your rank stays the same, but missing multiple weeks will cause you to drop leagues until you reach your floor.

Magic Shield, Revenge System, and Rewards

One of the most exciting parts of the Clash of Clans October 2025 Update is the brand-new Magic Shield. This system replaces the old Shield and Village Guard. When 30% or more of your loot is stolen, you’ll automatically get an 8-hour Magic Shield. The best part is that you can still attack while shielded, and the timer doesn’t go down when you do.
Attackers who try to hit you while you’re shielded will face a shadow version of your base — meaning you won’t lose any real loot. The Magic Shield is available only in Battle mode, while Ranked mode keeps the regular Legend Shield. Players can also buy shields:
- 1-Day Shield for 100 Gems (4-day cooldown)
- 2-Day Shield for 150 Gems (7-day cooldown)
- 1-Week Shield for 250 Gems (35-day cooldown)
Returning players who’ve been away for 35 days or longer will automatically receive a 48-hour Magic Shield as a welcome bonus.
The Clash of Clans October 2025 Update also brings a full Revenge System rework. If an opponent steals 30% or more of your loot, you can now take revenge within 12 hours — even if they’re online or shielded. Every revenge attack uses a shadow base, allowing you to recover your lost loot and even earn more. Revenge attacks also now count toward your Star Bonus, League Bonus, and event progress, making them more rewarding than ever.
New League Achievements have also been added. The old League All-Star challenge is gone, replaced by achievements like League Follower, Enthusiast, Superfan, Fanatic, and Lunatic. These give players up to 3,600 Gems in total — the most generous reward system ever in Clash history.
Quality of Life Changes and Trap Reworks
The Clash of Clans October 2025 Update improves Town Hall upgrades by removing star-level upgrades for Town Halls 12 to 15 and 17. Now, each Town Hall has a single upgrade level like Town Hall 16. If you were upgrading before the update, it’s automatically adjusted to the new system, and your Town Hall weapon will instantly match the maxed stats.
Spring Traps are also getting a huge change in the Clash of Clans October 2025 Update. Instead of flinging many small troops, they now focus on a single large troop — usually the one with the highest housing space. If the troop is too heavy, it takes serious damage and may be thrown vertically. Seven new levels are being added for Spring Traps, starting from Town Hall 11, along with one new level for Builder Base.
Loot and bonuses have also been balanced. The Star Bonus and League Bonus now scale based on destruction percentage. For instance, a 50% destruction earns 80% of the total loot, which increases as your attack improves. The loot for Ranked battles now comes from the game economy, not real player bases, ensuring a fairer system for everyone.
The Clash of Clans October 2025 Update is expected to release right after the current season ends on October 6, 2025. While fans are hopeful for a Town Hall 18 reveal, Supercell hasn’t confirmed it yet. But even without it, this update already feels like one of the most game-changing patches ever.
With new battle modes, a fair league system, a better revenge feature, and the long-awaited Magic Shield, the Clash of Clans October 2025 Update is all set to make both farming and competitive play more exciting than ever before.
